Welcome to the "Psychology quotes and Insights". Here we give insights into psychological quotes and we also share our personal quotes based on your knowledge of Psychology.
I will share the quote that inspired me to begin this forum and some of my psychology social media. In 1969, George Miller (the president of the American Psychological Association) wrote, "I can imagine nothing we could do that would be more relevant to human welfare, and nothing that could pose a greater challenge to the next generation of psychologists than to discover how best to give psychology away." That statement inspired many psychologists to do their best to share the knowledge the field of psychology had uncovered with the rest of the world. I hope that this forum may do the same. As one of those psychologists in a future generation he referred to, I believe it is my obligation to accept that greatest challenge as best as I can.
One of the most poetic descriptions of the therapeutic process I have read was given by Carl Rogers: "...I rejoice at the privilege of being a midwife to a new personality — as I stand by with awe at the emergence of a self, a person, as I see a birth process in which I have had an important and facilitating part."

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

I really love this one, "Happiness is not out there for us to find. The reason that its not out there is that it's inside."
