Emotional imbalance is a concept that may be obviously observed in most relationships. Without doubt, this can impact love and relationships negatively.
Just the way it takes two to tangle, It also takes two individuals with emotional intelligence to experience a fantastic relationship. Even though some individuals are naturally capable of fixing things up, however, EI can be learnt and this is a relief.
Emotional Intelligence is a concept everyone needs to get familiar with, learn and express.
If we maintain our love and relationship well, we are contributing a quota to making the world a better place. A lot of people will mostly be loved, express love and not becoming a monster who hurt others through poor experiences.
This is an interesting post especially about the importance of emotional intelligence. Unfortunately, I do believe that most people not only underestimate the importance of emotional intelligence but also the work needed to develop it.
Emotional intelligence perhaps is a skill built from many composite skills - some of which may include:
Paying attention to facial expression (emotions expressed via the muscles in the face - see the work of Paul Ekman)
Developing effective listening skills
Developing effective verbal skills (cultivating a general self-awareness of what you're saying and to whom you're talking with so that you may tailor your verbal language to suit the needs of the individual).
Understanding that Emotional intelligence is a work in progress one may never reach the goal of complete proficiency in emotional intelligence.
With that last point, the thing to remember is that the journey is more important than the destination.
