I am going to share a curiosity here. How do you feel when you are worrying that you might have any kind of mental disorder?
I usually try to read reliable sources. I would do literature reviews so I could understand how others would experience similar situations. Definitely, I avoid diagnosing myself. I think that I might have this disorder but I also can miss it unless this causes distress to me and the people around me. Lastly, I can seek professional help if I need it.
I had a very similar experience to @ViktorijaT in that I too found out about a disorder and it resonated with me. I kept looking it up (reliable sources like you said) and then went to both my doctor and a therapist. They were incredible and put me in touch with several resources that have really helped me in my day to day life.
I wouldn't say to avoid looking these things up because in some cases, identifying it and getting treatment can be really helpful to you. However, I'd ere on the side of caution if you notice yourself obsessively thinking about it or diagnosing yourself. If you think that there are disorders that sound similar to what you're experiencing, please contact a health professional because at the very least they can put your mind at rest and at the best, you can get help with these symptoms. Even if you don't feel like you need the help, it could be impacting you more than you realise and they can give you an objective assessment of the situation.
Good luck and I hope you're okay.
