Do you believe that the intrauterine life can affect our selves in adulthood? I believe that if the mother is anxious, stressed or depressed she can pass trauma to the baby. Moreover, I think it is essential that future mothers should be helped with managing their emotions or mental health conditions, because stress can be passed to the baby by the realease of stress hormones as cortisol.

I didn't know mother can pass her trauma to baby. So, how can we avoid it?
Some studies indicate that pregnant women’s psychological health may have consequences for fetal neurobehavioral development and, consequently, on the child’s adult life.
I’d recommend taking a look at the following paper - “Impact of Maternal Stress, Depression & Anxiety on Fetal Neurobehavioral Development” - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3710585/. It reviews research that identifies the effects of women’s antenatal psychological distress on fetal behaviour and child development and the biological pathways for this influence.
A newer study “Prenatal Stress, Mood, and Gray Matter Volume in Young Adulthood” - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29425268/ similarly “aims to determine whether prenatal stress, measured by the number of stressful life events during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, might relate to mood dysregulation and altered brain structure in young adulthood.”
