The need for a psychologist is high in government, private, and public agencies. These organizations may include criminal justice systems, consulting firms, correctional facilities, civil and criminal courts.
Forensic psychologists can also opt for private practices and consultation agencies. In addition, they can take up jobs in the educational, training, and academic research centers.
Great observations.
I should imagine that along with these considerations, comes the realisation that as our knowledge of neuroscience and its connection to personality grows deeper, there is more need for forensic psychology to interpret these findings.
With a refining of the issues governing mitigating circumstances in criminal behaviour, forensic psychologists are needed to assess who is or who is not culpable for their actions. I don't see a decrease in that need coming anytime soon.
