Hello everybody!
I have while doing research work on some topics of forensic psychology, come across many instances where the external factors, such as a child's relationship with his/her parents, the community in he/she grew up and the kinds of things he/she witnessed in his/her home while growing up deeply affected behaviors and mental states. I want to know exactly how much role does upbringing and such factors play in contributing towards the mental well-being of a child.
Hi Affra, that's a really interesting topic to cover. I believe that witnessing domestic abuse, being abused yourself, or any other form of mistreatment during childhood is very likely to result in future issues in terms of mental illness, tendencies towards abuse, and so on.
