Hello everybody!
I have while doing research work on some topics of forensic psychology, come across many instances where the external factors, such as a child's relationship with his/her parents, the community in he/she grew up and the kinds of things he/she witnessed in his/her home while growing up deeply affected behaviors and mental states. I want to know exactly how much role does upbringing and such factors play in contributing towards the mental well-being of a child.
I also agree with Nina, especially your childhood traumas affect your mental health deeply and permanently. If you are interested, you should read Alice Miller's book 'The Drama of The Gifted Child' to learn more about childhood traumas and how the little things that happened in your childhood shape your phobias, daily life, love life, social status, family life, and personal life. I recommend this book, it is light and easy to read and very informative. I also recommend you to read her other books as well. Take care 😇
