Not being a forensic psychologist (yet), I can still imagine a couple of instances where the field might come in handy.
Understanding various facets of forensic psychology such as criminal motivation might assist in being aware of potential vulnerabilities in those closest to us. Forensic psychology may also help us be better thinkers, form logical conclusions when it comes to human behavior.
Perhaps as with a few specialties, forensic psychology may give one another lens with which to view the world.
