Contrary to what you might think, a collection of data collected between 1999 and 2013 reveal that it is the age bracket 21+ who received the most ASBOs with 11, 661
While in the age bracket 15 - 17 received 6,531 almost half that given to 21+.
Age bracket 18 - 20 received 3,747 ASBOs.
An ASBO for those not in the UK is a civil order given by the court to someone and is effective for 2 years. While ASBOs are still used in Scotland, they have been replaced by CBOs and civil injunctions (criminal behavior order) in the rest of the UK. CBOs are only used after a conviction.
