We usually hear about depression without classification in daily life. Is it important to use specific names or not? I mean, when we talk about people who are diagnosed with depression. For example, should we say major depression or only depression?

I think it's important for two sides:
1- the patient
2- and people who dealing with him,
to understand his attitude, emotion, etc, and to deal with him accordingly.
I don't think it's important to daily life, only clinically.
